Technical Skills/Knowledge:
* Passion for software delivery under Tandem Non-stop and Oracle PL/SQL operating systems
* Expert in the software development practice - from code to delivery - and current design practices
* Enjoy working in environments where requirements are loosely specified or are ambiguous
* Enthusiastic about learning and mastering new topics - business, technical, etc. - and teaching others
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to guide and influence other senior professionals working on globally staffed teams
* Possesses a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems/products and services in the market/organization and practices of relevant discipline
* Broad knowledge of debit and credit products and services
* Background in switch network interfaces, ATM/POS authorization, Host Interfaces.
* Knowledge of EMV and tokenization transaction processing.
* Background in Tandem/HP Nonstop utilities, transaction simulators and source repositories
* Background in software development life cycle environment.
* Able to handle changing priorities and multiple projects at the same time in a fast paced environment.
* High degree of experience in requirements analysis and development of technical specifications and applications.
* Strong technical experience with design, development, modeling, application performance tuning, and unit/integration/performance testing.
* Experience working with remote and offshore development teams.
* Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
* Previous EPOC/Base24/Switch experience is a definite plus
* Familiarity with Agile methodology

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
* Four-year college degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
* 5+ years' experience developing software using C/TAL/pTAL/COBOL85
* Three+ years' of experience developing applications for the financial industry that support critical and high volume transaction processing
* 8+ years' experience in the financial industry
* Familiarity with the debit card processing industry
* Expertise in core Java and industry standard tools (eg: Eclipse, Maven, Junit, etc)
* Experience with scripted languages and willingness to code Perl, Python and/or shell scripts
* Exposure to automated testing and willingness to master and implement
* Willingness to learn and maintain legacy C/C++ programs
* Familiarity with "Big Data" technologies (eg: Hadoop, Kafka, Spark)

Travel required: Travel requirements minimal 10%
