Software Engineer for Desktop technology projectvs within the Capital Markets Risk Technology group.

We are looking for a strong developer focused on building out functionality within the desktop technologies team within the Capital Markets Risk Technology group. The successful applicant will work on a major new expansion within an established bespoke framework.

Examples of core responsibilities include:

• Add new functionality within our framework which allows our clients to 'do more'
• Build out new components that allow users to configure and visualize reports in innovative ways
• Work with server teams to marshal data effectively for display

The developer can expect to engage in all aspects of the SDLC from inception to delivery. We follow an agile development process.

From a technology perspective the candidate will be primarily developing in Javascript, with experience of react also strongly advantageous. We have an engine written in C# so C#, .NET experience would also be a bug plus. Experience in a front office risk management domain is also preferred (but not essential)

The team puts a significant emphasis on quality of design, code and the user experiences and the successful applicant will be expected to interact heavily with other members of the core risk UI team as well as server side teams providing core risk services. As such a collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills are key.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of JavaScript development experience
• 3 + years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux

• An industry-standard technology certification
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 3+ years of C# experience
• Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
• JIRA experience
