Within EFT the Corporate Risk Technology group helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. As part of this we are enabling front-line Risk functions through the use of Technology. We will build out a common set of tools that the front line risk and control teams can use to transform risk management in the lines of business. We are seeking an Engineering Manager - Front Line Control Technology to lead the development and implementation of systems which drive this transformation.
Primary responsibilities include:
Lead engineering team delivery throughout the SDLC, leveraging agile and waterfall processes
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of engineers and other technology staff
Partner with business/product teams, engineers, and architecture to design applications
Ensure the team is applying engineering best practices, including delivery approaches, quality control, solution architecture, and dev-ops automation
Manage resources and financials to approved budget
Manage issues, risks, and status in partnership with project and portfolio management functions
Ensure applications are compliant with enterprise/technology standards and align with Technology strategy
Manage business partner relationships, developing a technology strategy which aligns with business goals

A BS/BA degree or higher
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
2+ years of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
3+ years of Big Data experience
3+ years of Hibernate experience
Other Desired Qualifications
7+ years delivering technology solutions in financial services or another regulated industry
2+ years delivering cloud-based solutions (public and/or private)
2+ years implementing streaming / event driven solutions
3+ years of experience with risk technology solution design
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
