The Systems Operations Engineer is a senior engineering position that will provide technical solutions for the Commercial Lending Business Technology platform and help innovate processes and capabilities that will make the platform more resilient and efficient.  Successful team member will analyze and resolve complex issues in a high visibility distributed JAVA/J2EE and .NET based middleware platform.  The resource will actively interact with development and various technical partner teams, vendors, as well as internal and external business partners.  As a Senior resource on the Platform Management team, he/she will evaluate and recommend enhancements/changes to existing processes.  

Candidate must have strong application support experience and have an understanding of various middleware technologies.  Familiarity with various database, NAS, and network systems is also highly desired.  The ability to take initiative, problem solve, and lead high visibility fast-paced efforts (while effectively communicating to technical and senior leaders) is a must.  The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and analyze complex issues in critical situations. As a senior resource within the team, this individual will mentor junior team members. The ability to work in a positive and collaborative manner, within a large virtual team setting, is crucial.  A proactive mindset (combined with a willingness to learn new processes and tools) is vital to this role.

• 5+ years of systems support analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience
• 3+ years of experience working in managed services as demonstrated through work, military, or education
• 6+ years of application production support experience
• 5+ years of experience providing monitoring tools support for applications built on JAVA or .NET platforms
• 2 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
• 3+ years of Apache experience
• 3+ years of Weblogic experience
• 2+ years of Splunk experience
• 2+ years of AppDynamic experience

• Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management
• Strong team or technical leadership experience
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced scripting skills specifically around automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection and alerting
• 1+ year of Autosys experience
• Knowledge and understanding of technology application support: production and nonproduction environment
• Knowledge and understanding of network monitoring technologies

• Experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, IBM Liberty/WAS, WebLogic, or other similar products) on UNIX/Linux OS
• Experience with AppDynamics, APM (or similar) monitoring tools to solve and prevent application issues
• Leading and resolving high-visibility EACO issues
