The Enterprise Functions Technology organization provides technology to several lines of businesses including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Audit and Legal with a combined technology spending in excess of $500+MM annually and is a 1100+ person global organization.

Enterprise Functions Technology has embarked on an ambitious Risk Transformation program and we are looking for a Software Engineer who will be part of a development team that manages user business processes, reporting and regulatory reporting in the Financial Crimes area of Compliance.

We are looking for a Financial Crimes Software Engineer (Software Eng) who will support the AML transaction monitoring program through implementation & enhancement of SAS AML and related technologies.  This role will work closely with business analysts, developers, and QA specialist in Compliance, Legal, Audit & Regulatory Reporting (CLAR) Technology to understand requirements and create design documents and test plans, collaborate on production support to diagnose and remediate production issues. This role will partner with geographically disbursed stakeholders across a variety of businesses and functions to support Financial Crimes Investigations and Reporting.

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

• Support applications that run in SAS AML 7.1 environment
• Create and modify programs for extraction, transformation and loading of data using SAS Base and Macro code through the stages of the SAS AML Platform
• Customize SAS Alert Generation Process models to meet specific business requirements
• Identify issues with code implementation, logic, and performance issues and take corrective actions
• Develop and maintain SQL in working with Teradata and Oracle
• Modify UNIX shell scripts to call SAS jobs from scheduling tools
• Interface with AML solution providers to meet the requirements of Monitoring and Surveillance users
• Monitor batch jobs and provide support on production issues
• Collaborate with team members on SAS architecture, design, development, and testing
• Coordinate with production team to deploy enhancements and new releases

Technologies involved includes Teradata, Oracle, SAS, Java/J2EE, XML, Spring, Kafka/JMS, Angular7/ReactJS, Analytical and Reporting services (Tableau/Cognos/Microstrategy/PowerBI).  Experience with SAS analytics and modeling is preferred. The candidate must be experienced in various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and have a solid understanding of technology and data.

• 5+ years of BSA/AML experience
• 5+ years of SAS programming experience
• 3+ years of UNIX experience
• 2 + years of experience with Agile tools
• 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
• 4+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
• 2+ years of SAS Anti Money Laundering (AML) experience
• 5+ years of software engineering experience

• A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
• 4+ years of financial services experience
• Agile experience
• Autosys experience
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
• Ability to gather and document technical requirements
• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets
• Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• 4+ years of Teradata experience
• Job scheduling tools experience
• Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• An industry-standard technology certification

• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Ability to work outside of regular business hours
