About the Role
In this role, you will act as an Software Engineer, utilizing thorough understanding of applicable technologies within an Agile squad that will lead the technology innovation and product design, development and testing to deliver on its backlog. Leading a team of Software developers in developing and maintaining applications using J2EE and Front-end technologies.
Provides technical consultation and support in the design and development of enterprise applications.
Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
Through coaching and mentoring, nurture the talents of peer team members with varying degrees of experience.
Leads and/or performs research and analysis efforts, and acts as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting.
Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing, and debugging of programs.
Participates in functional testing, systems testing and the migration of applications to production.
Analyze and improve performance, scalability, stability and security of applications
Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
Collaborating with DevOps, Test Automation and Agile teams to enable CI/CD.
Very good knowledge on Java Programming (Enterprise/Advanced) and OOPS
Experience in the design and development of highly scalable and performing Enterprise Web Applications using Spring MVC, Spring Boot framework
Proficiency across the range of J2EE and related server-side technologies – Web Services (SOAP, REST, CXF, Spring), Microservices, Messaging, ORM/JDBC/SQL/NoSQL etc.
Solid experience on UI/UX technologies HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON
Strong unit testing skills, understanding of TDD/BDD, unit testing frameworks like Junit, PowerMock, Mockito etc.
Experience working in Linux CLI environment and shell scripting
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) and experience in working in an Agile/Scrum team
Market Skills and Certifications
Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application security/penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis.
Prior DevOps experience and familiarity with collaboration, development, build and deployment environment & tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA, IntelliJ/Eclipse IDE, Github, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins).
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to negotiate and facilitate issue resolution
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
12+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with a degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
An industry-standard technology certification
Knowledge of message/event-driven architecture, cloud computing and container technologies and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
