Department Overview: Branch Banking Analytics and Reporting, part of Consumer Analytics and Marketing focus on managing branch activity more effectively and efficiently. Helps define activities and expectations, optimize branch staffing, change staffing mix along with improving in-branch experience and providing great service, advice and guidance to customers. The team helps develop branch technology roadmap to address consent/authentication, self-service/assisted service, account opening and leads Digital Branch & ATM and administration functions for Future Branch Banking. About the Role:
Analytic Consultant 4 is an individual contributor role within the Branch Banking Analytics and Reporting. Generates insights by performing research and analysis related to customer behavior, performance, cross-channel, and segment as well as Book of Business. Creates foresights based on data driven analytical projects. Create an analytic environment to understand root causes of the issues identified. Reduce the risk of data breaches. The analyst need to identify the trends and extract meaningful insights to understand the root cause and recommend meaningful analytical solutions to mitigate risk, improve customer experience and drive seamless interaction for branch banking.
Responsible for performing highly complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling. Responsible for senior level consulting partnerships including delivery of findings and recommendations. Duties typically include providing insights, developing analytical strategies, performing analytical support regarding a wide array of business initiatives. Designs and leads some of the most complex projects/ analyses, generally spanning multiple products/data sources and may involve extremely complex analytical application of industry-leading experimental techniques or exploratory data analytics.Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may assist indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards that enable analysis, modeling, text mining and/or data visualization. Applies knowledge of business, customers, to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective. Data involved typically very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. Take lead on projects and provide guidance to other team members.
Market Skills and Certifications
8+ years' experience in similar analytics role
Post graduate or higher degree in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
8+ years advanced programming exposure in SAS and/or Python including SQL
Similar experience into consumer, retail banking
Knowledge of predictive & diagnostic analysis, good with data wrangling & exploratory data analysis, able to demonstrate strategic thinking and provide quick actionable insights
Hands on experience with relational databases Teradata, Oracle or similar database
Hands on experience in BI reporting suite like Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
Good to have certifications in Analytics and BI Reporting
Domain knowledge about Checking/Current/Savings Accounts, Credit cards, Revolving Loan or Deposit products is preferred
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
