Design, develop, implement, test, support and maintain software solutions to meet business requirements.
Write functional documents and design technical specifications.
Work closely with business users, technology groups, program management, product management, quality analysts on the preparation of test cases.
Test software through unit testing, test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification, fixing, and resolution.
Maintain full project life-cycle tasks, such as business and technical analysis, designing, coding, testing, and implementation plans.
Conduct code reviews with team members to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development.
Analyze application for data integrity issues.
Maintain all system diagrams, system interface charts and any other compliance policy and procedure documents.
Provide production support to end users with support teams
7+ years of software engineering experience
4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
A BS/BA degree or higher
7+ years of Java experience
5+ years of experience supporting, implementing, or administrating Bloomberg interfaces such as BPIPE, TSADF, Market Data or AF
3+ years of Thomson Reuters experience
5+ years of Windows or Linux scripting experience
5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment
5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL
5+ years of experience with multiple RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata or DB2 LUW
5 + years of experience with Agile tools
5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance
A professional certification in technology
Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
Knowledge and understanding of data: key risks and mitigating approaches in market data compliance
Knowledge and understanding of market data consumers or vendors
Knowledge and understanding of market data entitlements best practices and processes
Knowledge and understanding of market data with consumer firms or vendor firms
