The Posting and Settlement technology with in Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology (CSBBT) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Engineering Manager position. The role will require managing distributed team projects in an Agile delivery environment with the continuous emphasis on becoming fully Agile. The person should be influential in collaboration and assessment of project direction, roadmap and strategy. Proven track record in application development and architecture and strategic thinking. The person should be fluent on scoping technology initiatives and manage the deliverable based on the strategic roadmap and incremental delivery of programs on time in a fast moving/changing environment. Review of total cost of ownership and look for efficiencies to reduce cost while managing risk mitigation strategies. In addition will need to leverage and work closely with the design authority and architecture to help on building strategic solutions and continue to mentor/grow with talent development and continue to build a stronger collaborative team.
The resource will manage and drive the process of continuous growth of team and focusing on the Transaction Management System (TMS) modernization, rationalization and re-architecting of some of the critical components of the application as we focus on the strategic journey for 2022.
The TMS application is considered a Crown Jewel and we need a manager that is very focus, driven to success, technical with a knowledge of the technology stack and can lead the team technically. We also need the person to have a sense of urgency for all the work associated with the application and can drive solutions to project work, stability, modernization, risk and control to ensure that we improve functionality which is crucial to the customer experience and how Wells Fargo does business. Transaction Management Services (TMS) is a middleware services application providing complex, high performance, monetary transaction web services that processes millions of monetary transactions daily. In this role, you will be developing services for major clients within the bank including ATM/POS (Point Of Sale) and SVT (Store Vision Teller) in the stores. TMS is a J2EE application running on a virtual Linux platform on the mainframe utilizing IBM WebSphere, MQ, and DB2. TMS utilizes WFXML, HTTP, JDBC (DB2), JMS, and CICS MU and CWS (CICS Web Services).
Responsible for leading cross functional/virtual team to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity. The role will required the management of the backlog and the financial forecast of the team, manage the capacity and ensure the intake process and prioritize the work. The responsability will also required the involvement with me on the following work: finance / operational / executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership/diversity or general program oversight. Provides leadership to technical teams and analysts in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of technical programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies, regulations, and technical defined strategies.
