The PaaS Engineering team is responsible for supporting and maintaining PaaS within Wells Fargo. This position is within the Enterprise Application Hosting Services organization and will be responsible for the design, build, and support of Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, and Redis. This position consults at the highest technical level with clients, IT management, and enterprise-wide teams on design, planning, integration, implementation, scalability, problem definition, and resolution of PaaS hosted applications. Also, engineering issues involving the interrelated demands of hardware, software, telecommunications, security, and control.
Key responsibilities include:
Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation.
Knowledge of products such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, and test-driven development are preferred.
Background must reflect senior technical experience, strong development skills, robust virtualization knowledge, vast shell scripting or coding experience, and knowledge of cloud-based technologies.
Experience supporting shared hosting platforms, proficient with J2EE, have good networking skills, and exceptional troubleshooting skills preferred.
Keeps abreast of new technological developments.
Conducts evaluations of new products and vendor proposals.
7+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience
1+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
2+ years of experience testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
2+ years of Java experience
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Advanced troubleshooting skills
2+ years of Perl or Shell experience
Experience in one or a combination of the following: Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes
2+ years of experience leading enterprise wide implementations
Knowledge and understanding of J2EE
