The Software Engineer will be an integral part of the Digital Technology Application team working on the development and delivery of applications in the Digital Channel. Wells Fargo Gateway Channel developing multiple REST APIs connecting through multiple backend domain services like Foreign Exchange, account validations, Transaction services etc. Through the Gateway API Channel, it becomes easy for the customer IT applications to hook up and leverage all the subscribed API Services. The position will require working with product owners, and scrum team members to understand requirements, design and develop the technology solution. The candidate should have a strong track record of Agile processes. The position would require the ability to learn and adopt emerging technologies as needed. They would need to research issues/concerns and look for root causes, develop and implement resolutions, while maintaining on-time delivery and appropriate follow up; participate in software testing and review results; provide representation and/or assistance for projects/meetings; document software changes, technical processes and procedures; develop recommendations to correct deficiencies and improve the technical processes; apply analytical skills and knowledge of systems and processes to learn new systems, applications, processes and techniques; understand business needs from a variety of sources, asking detailed questions to get the correct information, identify possible solutions and explain clearly both in verbal and written communications.
