About Wells Fargo India
Wells Fargo India enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA., by supporting business lines and staff functions across Technology, Business Services, Risk Services and Product, Analytics and Modeling (PAM). We are operating in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai locations.
The Technology Infrastructure (TI) team is responsible for enterprise-wide infrastructure services across the global footprint, including networking, production services, storage, data centers, midrange and Cloud-based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure.
About the Role
The Network Access Services Network Engineering team defines, develops, delivers and supports network infrastructure solutions that enable Wells Fargo's lines-of-business to communicate with customers, partners, and applications efficiently, effectively and reliably. This team is accountable for the networks at the branches, atms and admin buildings across WF global footprint.
Engineer manages production networks including IP backbone, data centers and edge across the globe from heterogeneous vendors, with a passion toward network availability and quality. Ensures the continuous availability of all data network services.
Creates and update network documentation and network schematics.
Provides resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis where appropriate.
Provides comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval, implement the same according to plan. Investigates and remediates network capacity related issues. Implements network security policies across routers and firewalls. Works closely with other team members to ensure existing standards, policies, and conventions are carefully followed.
Interfaces frequently with cross discipline support teams (Systems, Database, and Storage, Application operations) in order to provide seamless network operations.
Proactively identifies gaps, risks and issues and navigates organizational structure to resolve them. Applies knowledge of Security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions. Partners cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence.
Serves as a high level technical resource on large-scale voice and/or data communications issues.
May direct or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
7-9 years of experience designing LAN/WAN/Wireless/Datacenter/Security solutions for large enterprises with the experience with configuration of Cisco Routing and Switching latest platforms and solutions.
Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams (proficiency
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel and Visio Professional
Must be self-driven and able to work with little supervision and direction
Bachelor's degree in Computers or Electronics with 9-12 Years of Networking Experience
Strong understanding of configurations to support the WLAN/LAN/WAN and enterprise standards.
Strong experience in installing Cisco Wireless/Routers/Switches in the field
Strong understanding of the following routing protocols: OSPF, BGP
Strong understanding of the following layer 2 switching protocols: Spanning Tree, Trunking, Etherchannel
Remedy Pac2000, and ITAM experience (CR, PRB, etc.
Operational knowledge/awareness of SDN, SD-WAN, such as Meraki, Cradlepoint, Viptela.
Python/Ansible scripting experience a plus
