Job Role and Responsibility:
Responsible for development, maintenance and support, including ensuring performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, security, operational/production support, and risk/compliance standards for the API channel. Ensure development and progression of road maps and strategies, including planning, implementation and support of solutions in concert with product management and business development to deliver innovative products to customers. Interact with and influence the technology direction in alignment with Wells Fargo strategies and standards with key vendors, including consulting partners and open source tool providers. Lead the engineering team that will design, build and support world-class, scalable, secure and performant APIs. Engineer APIs, foundational frameworks, and libraries that power Wells Fargo's API Gateway. Work cross-functionally across design and engineering teams, and business partners to drive customer-centric solutions and polished product experience. Oversee projects from design to implementation and deployment and support. Ensure software development, security, code quality, policy and standards adherence. Develop and lead a team of engineers. Make hiring and performance management decisions.
Master's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role in software development or enterprise services development.
Alternate combination of education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and twelve (12) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role in software development or enterprise services development.
Specific skills required:
Requires management experience (5 years with Bachelor's; 3 years with Master's) in related technology domain and in enterprise services development and support.
Requires 4 years of design and development experience with API Manager products like WSO2 and Apigee.
Requires experience with API modeling languages and annotation (YAML, Swagger, RAML).
Requires API Migration experience between different API Manager products such as WS02 and Apigee.
Requires Experience in securing API's using Oauth2, SAML and OpenIDM.
Requires design and development experience with middleware products like Mule, MQ, DataPower and Camel.
Requires experience in thought leadership in providing technology guidelines for organization and higher management.
