Operations Control is a new team that will be the front line group within Operations accountable for assessing and ensuring the effective management of associated risks for Operations groups across the Enterprise. This team counsels group leadership on the Operations risk portfolio which includes issue management, remediation and regulatory interactions and facilitates strong cooperation between operations, independent risk management and Audit.
This is a newly created position within the Operations Control organization will lead the reporting and analytics function across all Operations groups. This senior leader will be tasked with implementing an effective program to provide the right level of information to the operations leadership of critical risk indicators. This role will engage with the Control Strategy and Programs office to implement core and common reporting practices as required across all control executive teams.
Implementation of a robust risk reporting and analytics program across Operations
Demonstrate core project management skills in order to implement procedures as required by policy and drive consistent execution of the programs within the Operations teams
Demonstrate the ability to influence and navigate across the firm; driving the right outcomes based on the needs
Designs and implements front-line reporting across LOBs; ensures a consistent standard and aggregate reports
Leads risk analytics across business, ensuring a consistent standard and in close coordination with Data Management & Insights
The successful candidate will also work closely with Senior Managers across Operations in the development and execution of the company's risk management strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many functional areas, provide insight into the regulatory climate and identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the Operation's group's strategic execution/direction.

10+ years of management experience
12+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 12+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 10+ years must include direct experience in risk management
Other Desired Qualifications
Meaningful knowledge across enterprise risk management framework, including: risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
Understanding of best-practice risk management techniques across financial services industry
Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and understanding of how they are implemented, managed and enforced
Knowledge of data management and reporting and storytelling
Deep technical understanding of Corporate Risk operations, processes, and responsibilities.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the business and enterprise Risk function
Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end to end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes
Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type
Demonstrated leadership ability that embodies the Wells Fargo Vision and Values and leadership competencies
Ethical integrity and demonstrated ability to assess and determine when to raise concerns and escalate
Proven ability to build and lead high performing control risk management organization in a matrixed environment, ensure proper staffing and expertise exists and can coach and enable others in risk management and risk ownership
Strong analytical ability used to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early and engage in constructive credible challenge and will do so independently when necessary
Proven ability to proactively manage and resolve conflict and effectively defend decisions with objective rationale
