About the role & Key
1) Mainframe DB2 Database Administration day to day support and maintenance 2) Provide on-call support during India business hours 3) Vulnerability management, patching maintenance and apply vendor recommended fixes, support DB2 migrations and upgrade initiatives 4) Work with multiple business application teams to support their production releases, projects etc. 5) Contribute to DB performance fine tuning efforts 6) Work with project engineering team for analysis, design and development efforts
8+ years of experience in Mainframe DB2 Database Administration activities on Mainframe zOS environment
Leads the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's mainframe DB2 z/OS databases
Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction
Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical databases
Leading highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts; Developing management policies, procedures and standards
Identify business requirements, work on analysis and development.
Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and/or modeling activities.
UNISYS database administration is a plus as well as DB2 z/OS system programming
