The Lead Developer will spearhead the development of the research platform to support Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) quantitative and fundamental investment management process.
Located in Menomonee Falls, San Francisco, Boston, LA, Charlotte and London. In this new role, you will lead application design, development, testing and deployment as per WF SDLC methodology. Code quality, security and nimbleness are of utmost importance as is the ability to partner successfully with teams across the firm.
The successful candidate will:
Act as technical thought leader and hands-on expert developer
Act as internal expert to technology and business groups, enabling and supporting the adoption of cutting edge technologies by investment teams
Build strong relationships with investment teams, analysts and developers
Build, develop and manage a high-performing portfolio research and construction platform to support investment teams spanning multiple locations
Demonstrate outstanding drive and focus on delivering new capabilities to WFAM investment teams
7+ years of application development and implementation experience
4+ years of securities industry experience
10+ years of application development experience
8+ years of C#.NET experience
8+ years of investment industry experience
8 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes
Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling
Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
8+ years of relational database experience
Other Desired Qualifications
8+ years of experience working with market data
Ability interact confidently with counterparts at all levels within the firm
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent work experience
Experience of portfolio construction and research processes, including related software applications and tools
Experience with data sourcing, cleansing and distribution
Experience designing and developing user interfaces
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability collaborate with teams spanning a range of locations
Awareness of real-time and batch distributed technologies
Vendor management experience
