This newly created position will help shape and transform the primary tools our Financial Advisors use to interact with their clients. As a software developer, you will be responsible for creating new tools in new technologies that have direct impact on our client's ability to achieve their financial goals.
Production support activities:
Incident Management: Triage incidents, escalation to Tier 3 as needed, engage partner teams viz. MW, EDM, & Infrastructure teams via EACO escalation, status updates, facilitate business user communication. Create/update application support Runbooks, KEDB, and support tools such as AppOne, Triage, etc.
Problem Management: Ticket creation for BAU efforts & Queue Management - Ticket management for daily tasks and efforts that are brought to support attention. Root cause analysis and book of work escalation to development - Identification of common issues and escalation to development for code fixes as applicable.
Batch Management: Facilitate batch job creation, implementation, and change. Update batch schedules. Batch job documentation. Establish playbooks to manage batch failures. Address batch failures through remediation efforts.
Change Management: Identify forward schedule of change to applications and environments. Review post change implementation success / failures and create actions plans to remediate if required. Change Planning & Implementation Support (anything that includes code change and/or break-fix). Manage config changes.
Patching support - Stop / Starts recycles and application checkouts.
Monitoring: Implementation of Alerts and Configuration - Customize alerting tools based on application specific thresholds. Incorporate rules and schedules to ensure proper monitoring frequency. Enable business transaction monitoring.
BCP Support: Test planning for BCP events. Documentation and coordination efforts to secure application resiliency prior to BCP event. Test execution during scheduled BCP events
Capacity Management: Support capacity planning initiatives and provide application information to capacity planning teams. Utilize information provided by capacity planning to incorporate proper monitoring alerts. Work to remediate capacity related risks based on information provided from capacity planning.
Audit and Compliance support: Participate in audit activities and provide data to auditors on production environment variables. Review access of users/ groups to ensure production users are only part of the groups. Remediate any identified discrepancies associated with user entitlement
The position will report into the Client and Advisor Tools Manager within the Application Delivery Services department.
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
3+ years of web client side development using Angular or Razor
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
