The CCB Data Use and Access Team is part of a team within the CCB Data Management and Governance organization, responsible for managing data access protocols for sensitive CCB Data, in adherence with Firmwide and Regulatory requirements and standards. The individual in this position will be part of the team supporting both the tactical solutions to maintain access controls, as well as contributing to the build and implementation of our strategic initiatives to better manage our access in a consistent, holistic fashion. The person in this role reports to the CCB Data Access Executive within the CCB Data Management and Governance organization.
Assess gaps and partner with other areas in both Firmwide Data Management and CCB Data Management to remediate gaps in our Access Controls
Implement and execute access administration and recertification programs across a variety of data environments and platforms (ie. Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Hortonworks, Cloudera, and Greenplum)
Ensure compliance with Data Use Approvals, Legal and contractual permissions, least privilege access policies, client agreements, and applicable laws and regulations such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Partner with members of the larger Data Management organization and technology in the design, writing and implementing of procedures and controls for the collection and use of Personal Information (PI), Highly Confidential PI (HCPI) and Client Confidential Information (CCI)
Developing and performing ongoing monitoring programs to ensure compliance with Firmwide Data Governance and Data Security policies
Collaborate with a cross-functional team on the implementation of a strategic solution for monitoring access restrictions and permissions across our data environments
Participate in the design, build, communication, implementation and on-going operating model for access support
Provide subject matter expertise to the larger CCB organization on Access related matters
Additional Responsibilities include:
Design and publish management reporting on access control programs and recertification efforts
Assess proposed data sharing arrangements and evaluate associated risk
Navigate the organization and partner with Risk, Finance, LOB, Control, and other functional partners to identify key dependencies and deliver results
Manage issues and management decisions to timely resolution
Possesses strong knowledge of consumer businesses and ability to build and strengthen partnerships across functions and locations to achieve objectives
Communicates effectively with senior management to resolve conflicts through broad based decision making with key stakeholders.
Issues regular project and management reporting for business leaders
Works collaboratively with sub-LOB process owners and Technology to facilitate the development and evaluation of business readiness for data management processes
5-8 years of industry experience
Background including data analysis, technology, analytics
Familiarity with data environments and platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Hortonworks, Cloudera, and Greenplum
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to multi-task and deliver to a tight deadline
Experience identifying strategic improvements and delivering measurable change
Ability to find simple, workable solutions to complex problems.
Experience with Visio, Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (PitchPro )
Experienced and proven ability to gather/analyze complex data, develop accurate conclusions and provide recommendations with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications
