Iowa Bankers is working with Legacy Bank to hire a Senior Operations Supervisor/Cashier in their Mitchellville Office. Duties include but not limited to:
Stay abreast of the bank’s Operations Manuals and all pertinent bank regulations, including but not limited to; Reg DD, Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, CRA, Right to Financial Privacy Act, FDIC insurance provisions and Reg Z.
Monitors performance, provides on going performance feedback and resolves situations as needed.
Makes daily overdraft decisions within established guidelines and lending limits.
Schedules staff to ensure appropriate coverage.
Serves as a communication link between Operations and Management.
Verifies that all daily work assignments are completed.
Adjusts errors on customers accounts
Reviews general ledger entries to identify and correct errors.
Ensure compliance with established internal guidelines and external regulations.
Monitor bookkeeping staff performance and take corrective action as required.
Ensure balancing of bank offices on a daily basis including reconciliation of ATM.
Keep current on the banks policies and programs in order to accurately advise employees and customers as questions arise.
Place service calls as needed for equipment maintenance
Responsible for timely completion of required internal and external deposit products/checking reports, e.g./ large currency transactions, security reports, retirement accounts, etc. Ensure proper maintenance of savings/checking-related records and reports, including the signature files.
Monitor deposit accounts and balance the general ledger from the previous days work.
Conducts internal audits as needed.
Function as the bank’s cashier handling numerous related functions including preparation of the Call Report and the functioning of various accounting entries.
Reconcile securities and makes adjusting entries.
Monitor and reports on “pledged securities.”
Perform tasks as requested by immediate supervisor and bank president.
Point person for budget-related accounting, projections and ongoing maintenance.
Member of ALCO and Funds Management.
Assists in resolving customer problems beyond the supervisory level in all operations areas.
Reviews the disposition of the daily customer overdraft report.
Balances and reconciles various bank accounts.
Completes and files various bank reports on a quarterly basis.
Create an efficient and positive work environment by assisting and supporting employees.
Provide quality customer service to employees and customers.
Flexible with schedule, willing to stay until the work is complete.
Supportive and dedicated to continued improvement of procedures and quality of work and employee morale.
Four year college degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Minimum of 5 years proven experience in an operational function, including management experience
Well developed management, communications, organizational, customer service and decision making skills
Sound knowledge of banking products, practices and procedures
