About QNB QNB Group, the largest Financial Institution in the Middle East and Africa are looking to hire a Head of International Structured Finance, to meet the expansion needs of our office in QNB - Qatar//Doha. The Group now employs over 29,000 employees in 1,200 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,300 machines.
Role Summary: You will be primarily responsible for monitoring and supervising all structured finance activities for subsidiaries at QNB including Turkey and Egypt. This includes initiation, sourcing, preparation, processing and execution and distribution of structured financing transactions for the Group's private, corporate and institutional (including government), clientele and thereby facilitating growth and expansion of the corporate banking business. Additional responsibility come from catering to the financing requirements of complex long-term infrastructure, industrial and public utility projects where the Group is involved with other banks, financial institutions and investors.
In co-ordination with the AGM - Global Structured Finance, formulate and implement the strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets in subsidiaries including Turkey, Egypt and eventually other subsidiaries of the Group.
Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the purpose of performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes of the subsidiaries including Turkey and Egypt business and monitor their achievements on periodic basis.
Meet target budgets for customer relationships with structured finance related transactions in accordance with QNB's overall Corporate budget and strategy.
Manage all aspects of structured loans, products and services to maximize product potential and profitability.
Monitor the overall budget approved for the unit on regular basis
Initiate, maintain and deepen relationships with banks, financial institutions, and project sponsors who are active in the structured finance industry in subsidiaries including Turkey and Egypt in order to position QNB for future business opportunities.
Maintain good team work; provide support, assistance and cooperation with other members of the Global Structured Finance Department.
Continually keep abreast with the local, regional and international financial markets and economic environment. To be informed about potential structured transactions that could translate into possible business opportunities for the Group.
Provide timely and accurate information to the Group's senior management, external and internal auditors and the Group's compliance function when required.
Work with structuring teams and sales desk in order to determine optimal structure, price and go to market strategy for structured deals.
Actively work with Risk Managers in order to evaluate transactions and drive integration of Capital Markets into standard business processes.
Ensure the structured finance transactions are structured, processed, documented and executed satisfactorily to meet clients and bank's internal requirements.
Implement the 'one-point of contact' approach to respond to and resolve all customer needs and queries pertaining to structured and structured finance.
Perform cross selling activities to enhance QNB's overall relationship with customers by coordinating activities with other QNB units/ departments.
Submit periodic MIS reports/ information to the AGM - Global Structured Finance and to other executive management of the Group to
Structure transactions and execute deals.
Ensure availability of adequate securities/ guarantees and documentation to safeguard the Group's interest before approving the grant of the credit.
Perform comprehensive review of structured transactions, assign transaction ratings, make recommendations and present the proposals to the higher decision making authorities.
Review the financial feasibility of the individual structured transaction proposals based on analysis of the expected cash flows and other financial and economic data.
Analyze structured transactions and recommend placement opinions for all domestic and international transactions.
University graduate with at least 9 years in banking with at least 5 years relevant cross-border experience in the structured finance industry, preferably with relevant regional international experience.
Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and any regulations for the corporate banking customer segment especially as it relates to structured finance.
Specialized training and track-record in Syndications, Project Finance, Export Credit Agency Finance, Acquisition Finance, Asset-backed Finance, Real Estate Finance and Islamic Finance.
Fluency in English, Arabic and Turkish would be highly desirable, but not mandatory.
